| Unlike many Chinese staying in one place most of their lives, since I was born I have been able to move a lot to see China, my home country and other countries of this world. Though I have tried different occupations before and love them all: 2 years as an interpreter for a joint-ventured project, 7 years as a coordinator for international exchange programs, 5 years as a section chief of a foreign affairs office in a university, 1 year as an exchange scholar in Goshen College(USA), 2 months as a translator for Chinese officials in Oxford (UK), 1 month as visiting scholar to Arizona (USA), I have been a teacher in a university for 26 years till now. I love my work. I enjoy my life as well: dancing, cooking, reading, travelling, jogging, taking a walk early in the morning for fresh air in a park, going shopping when I do need to buy things, talking with my parents on the phone or when I visit them.... I have a grown-up son who will soon graduate from a university in USA. I , as a university professor, often have time to visit him there either during the summer vacation or winter vacation. |
